While on the beach, you may notice that it curves off into the distance, with a jagged-looking horizon. If you are adventurous enough to make this trek, the beach gets a bit rockier, there's less fine sand and more aggressive waves.
But as you carry on... you'll notice this beach is fenced off. And by fenced, I mean that the fences are metal and span hundreds upon hundreds of feet into the sky. It's pretty easy for a person to squeeze through, though! It's not for keeping you out. This cannot be seen by the main beach, so it won't obscure any lovely views! Don't worry about it!
There are a lot of large, sharp rocks that span over a mile, both along the beach and into what would be the "mainland" (it's still a hotel though... somehow...), with some sparse trees and a couple of little hills. The fence goes a distance into the water, making an "arena" of sorts.
"What the hell is this, should I be worried?" you may ask. And the good news; every hundred feet or so is a large sign, attached to the fence! The sign reads:
WARNING THIS ARENA TO BE USED FOR GIANT ROBOT BATTLES ONLY THE LIGHTS ON THE FENCE WILL GLOW RED WHEN THE ARENA IS IN USE ENTER AT YOUR OWN PERIL DURING THESE TIMES
...! You'll now notice two things in the shop; "regain a mecha" for ten points, and "buy a brand new mecha" for twenty points.
WHEN ENGAGING IN BATTLE or just practicing, riding around with someone, being naughty in the robots, etc., the fence will warn everyone else nearby that it's being used. If you destroy your mecha, come talk to Maintenance Man if you can't do the repairs on your own for a little sidequest. Mechas can only be in mecha-designated locations, such as this, and when leaving the arena, your mecha will minimize into toy-sized versions (weapons do not work, they are basically gunpla).
There can be some trees for cover, big rocks, you can float out into the ocean a ways if you'd like. The arena will be cleaned up once per day.
