3F - THE OCEAN VIEW FLOOR

✨THE HALLWAYS

The hallways on the third floor are a little less flashy than the second floor and yet they still feel vibrant on their own. Everything feels airy and light and the decor is minimal but honestly, somewhat cheesy. Don't be surprised to find flamingo figurines here and there.

There are two main things however. One, you'll find your bedroom that matches the number on the cardkey. And two: if you enter from the north end, you'll end up on the ocean side. If you enter from the south end, you'll end up on the waterfall side. Each of the doors are labelled appropriately so you know which entrance is which.

OOC: BEACH NORTH SIDE INCLUDES: The beach, ocean, boardwalk, sno cones, Margaritaville, showers, and the roleplay room.

BEACH SOUTH SIDE INCLUDES: the aquarium hallway, the waterfall, the onsen

✨THE BEACH

It's a heckin' beach. Like, a real beach. Once you step through those doors, you'll find that you're stepping into an outside of some sort. Yes, you're in a hotel, but there's no doubt about it, you're finally breathing fresh air for the first time in 11 days. How does this work? Who knows.

More importantly, it's a beach!!! A warm sun is beating down from above, but the soft powdery white sand underneath the feet doesn't ever get too hot to the touch. Instead, there's always a warmth that just feels quite nice between the toes. We all know sand gets everywhere but surprisingly, this sand is quite easy to brush off so it isn't quite as offensive as it could be.

The ocean itself, sparkling turquoise, nearly the color of emeralds. If you choose to go in the water, it's cold enough to be enjoyable but not too cold to be chilling to the bone. Also, it's perfectly clear, enough to where you can even see your feet kicking up seashells along the sandy floor (so if you try to be sneaky, no promises that someone won't see).

Yes, there are volleyball nets. Yes, there are surfboards to borrow (and yes there are enough waves to get waves).

✨THE BOARDWALK

When you wish to retire from the sandy beach, you can end up in the shade at the Boardwalk. This location is a great place to enjoy various activities! What sort of activities?

✨THE SHOWERS

The showers are located in an open and airy room. During the day there's sunlight filtering between the roof beams, and at night you can see the subtle glitter of stars, and you can even feel a pleasant breeze at times—it is impossible to stick your head out and see anything, however, a force will stop you. There's a couple potted plants, and you can smell flowers every so often... it may lead you to wonder what would happen if it were to rain...

There are sinks, towels, mirrors, and then an entire wall of very much open to anyone's eye showers; along the other wall are a couple of frosted shower cubicles, showing only the dark silhouette of whoever may be inside.

There are some lockers for keeping your items in, as well as some benches for getting changed on.

✨RAINBOW SNO CONES

By the way, did we mention the snowcone stalls that you can find throughout? There's a lot of flavors available! However, you'll find that the color of the snowcone you receive will end up causing some funny effects . . .

If a snow cone is red and you eat it, you'll feel the need to hug someone.
If a snow cone is orange and you eat it, you'll feel the need to give or receive a piggyback ride.
If a snow cone is yellow and you eat it, you will suddenly see the world in an optimistic light.
If a snow cone is green and you eat it, you will feel the need to steal something.
If a snow cone is blue and you eat it, you will feel the need to be rude to someone.
If a snow cone is purple and you eat it, you will feel the desire to compliment someone (truthfully).

These effects last roughly half an hour or until you achieve the sensation.

✨THE RP ROOM

This room is quite... interesting. You step inside and it's like you're in a medieval library/discussion room. There's a table with chairs, and some prop weapons along the wall. There's a map that tends to look different every time you step inside.

Once you do step inside, however, you have a strange urge. A pull, one could say, to play the role of another. You might find yourself taking on the role of a thief, or a maid, or really any kind of role you can think of. Knight. King. Domino's delivery driver. Hot single mom opening the door for a plumber to lay some pipe. The sky is the limit. (Effects will wear off fairly soon, but you can leave the room and walk the hotel pretending to be Princess Peach for a bit if you want!)

There's a wardrobe nearby with a huge variety of costumes--the quality is lacking, but they'll do the part. There's also a large shelf of board games, and things like tabletop RPG books.

Yes, you could simply use this room as a place to play off brand DnD if you want to. (There are dice and pens and whatever else you need!) You can take the books and games out, but they'll automatically return within one IC day.

✨MARGHARITAVILLE

The outdoor eating area where you can get all sorts of general food fare! Think burgers, fries, pickle chips, hot dogs, margaritas, etc. As with the casino, the same thing applies here.

To eat the fare that's provided, you have to accept sitting with a friend or a stranger. Space is limited!

✨THE TROVE

Around the beach, while diving... you'll find something glittering on the ocean floor. Gold? Is it really gold?

Swimming closer, you'll find it; a single gold coin, half buried in the sand.

And in this distance, a glittering gold sign—The Trove it reads, large golden coins decorating the border of the sign. Underneath the sign is a door made of glass—from the outside, it's hard to see what's inside...

But if you enter, you'll find that there's air inside. The water stays still like a wet, shimmery wall behind you, and you only drip slightly onto the radiant bejewelled floor. The inside of the little room is as extravagant as the outside; treasure is piled everywhere, but if you try to take any, you'll feel a sharp sting in your hand, and if you keep trying, the sting will become unbearable.

There's also a counter.

...

Yes. This is a store. A store that only takes gold coins. And behind the counter is an unbreakable glass case with some items that are very sentimental to you...

You can find gold coins around the beach and in the water! But limit it to two coins an OOC week. For ten coins you can buy the sentimental item! It can be something you owned or something someone else had that would mean a lot to you. Maybe it's just a doll of your loved one from home. Turn these in at the normal shop just saying I'M BUYING A SENTIMENTAL ITEM FROM THE TROVE (it should be every five OOC weeks give or take that you can get something here).

But even if you're without coin, there's a good reason to come here—there is a wardrobe off to the side, and inside can be found any kind of costume. They're all ranging from terrible and hideous to stunning and wild. You can borrow these for free, and they come in water-resistant bags to return to the surface with! The costumes will need to be returned within an IC week, or you risk Nana's despairing face notes too...

Sometimes, however... the costumes seem to have a will of their own and may find their way into your wardrobe after visiting for the first time. And if they inspire a little roleplay, well. WELL. HAVE FUN.

✨SUBMERGED LIBRARY

On the main part of the beach is a sign! It simply says LIBRARY -> and seems to be pointing towards... the ocean. There's also a locker nearby, filled with diving gear.

...uh.

......ummmmm.

Well, if you go to take a look underwater, you'll see a path of subtly glowing lights along the ocean floor, leading a short distance away. If you start swimming, either by holding your breath or by using diving gear, you'll see a warmly lit building beneath the ocean, looking quite expansive. A helpful sign on the front displays the word: LIBRARY. It's not too deep underwater to worry about pressure or anything. It's also not too hard to swim down to, it doesn't take very long! It seems easier to swim here than anywhere else, even, if you need a bit of a magical boost to get inside...

The door is open, and you can enter; it looks like every book inside is perfectly preserved, despite being drenched. You can swim along the rows, sit down on a floating chair to enjoy the book you've found, or... if you keep going, you'll find the "restricted section", considering there's a sign stating it as such.

There's no librarian, however, so you can go on in undisturbed. It's a long hallway, punctuated with a spiral staircase.

And at the top of the staircase... is air!

A beautiful, cozy room with a magnificent tree growing from the center, with windows that show the ocean above. These books are all dry, so do be careful. This place looks abandoned, unlike the rest of the library, but you can still find some comfortable cushions nearby to curl up next to.

All books in the library are books that can be found in character canons but only when that character is nearby. (EXAMPLE: Miguel could only find the book "Princess Mina of the Fallen Nation" when in the presence of a Genshin Impact character, but he could find the Iliad or something like that). The restricted section has a large amount of romance novels and poetry, and all smut can be found there, but it's not exclusive!

(Please check in with players before fourth walling them)

You can find history books, fiction and nonfiction, recipe and building guides, magazines, newspapers, etc!

(You are also free to MAKE UP books!)

You are free to check out books by signing for them at the front desk (the books will not leave the premises unless you do this, like a magical stream will carry them out of your hands if you try to steal) and can get them taken out for three IC days. Every day they are late, a list of your overdue books will slip under your bedroom door, complete with a picture of Nana's despairing face. If you return books on time, you will get a little gift-wrapped thank you card with a couple of book-shaped chocolates that advertise that they give you pleasant dreams of your favourite novels after consuming one.

✨ROBOT BATTLE BEACH

While on the beach, you may notice that it curves off into the distance, with a jagged-looking horizon. If you are adventurous enough to make this trek, the beach gets a bit rockier, there's less fine sand and more aggressive waves.

But as you carry on... you'll notice this beach is fenced off. And by fenced, I mean that the fences are metal and span hundreds upon hundreds of feet into the sky. It's pretty easy for a person to squeeze through, though! It's not for keeping you out. This cannot be seen by the main beach, so it won't obscure any lovely views! Don't worry about it!

There are a lot of large, sharp rocks that span over a mile, both along the beach and into what would be the "mainland" (it's still a hotel though... somehow...), with some sparse trees and a couple of little hills. The fence goes a distance into the water, making an "arena" of sorts.

"What the hell is this, should I be worried?" you may ask. And the good news; every hundred feet or so is a large sign, attached to the fence! The sign reads:

WARNING
THIS ARENA TO BE USED FOR GIANT ROBOT BATTLES ONLY
THE LIGHTS ON THE FENCE WILL GLOW RED WHEN THE ARENA IS IN USE
ENTER AT YOUR OWN PERIL DURING THESE TIMES

...! You'll now notice two things in the shop; "regain a mecha" for ten points, and "buy a brand new mecha" for twenty points.

WHEN ENGAGING IN BATTLE or just practicing, riding around with someone, being naughty in the robots, etc., the fence will warn everyone else nearby that it's being used. If you destroy your mecha, come talk to Maintenance Man if you can't do the repairs on your own for a little sidequest. Mechas can only be in mecha-designated locations, such as this, and when leaving the arena, your mecha will minimize into toy-sized versions (weapons do not work, they are basically gunpla).

There can be some trees for cover, big rocks, you can float out into the ocean a ways if you'd like. The arena will be cleaned up once per day.

✨THE AQUARIUM HALLWAY - SOUTH

The aquarium can be entered through a large clear tunnel entrance, leading along a long hallway with the occasional bend and swerve in it. Out through the water, it seems endless. An endless expanse of ocean, even though it shouldn't make sense. There's floating plant life, and a huge variety of saltwater fish swimming around you. You may even see things like dolphins, fish, tentacle-bearer denizens of the deep, whales or even sharks! There is a separate branch that leads to where you'd see fish from colder climates (don't question this) and another that leads to a place where you might see some familiar fish; ones that are not necessarily found on modern Earth, but are from your own worlds.

If you stare into the deep ocean a little too long, you may see the briefest dark shadow in the distance; something a little too big and fast to be comforting.

The tunnel opens up into a room full of fish tanks at one point, containing things like freshwater fish, crabs, lobsters, etc. You can walk around here or take a seat on a soft couch nearby—it's a great spot for a date! There are a few little tables and chairs up next to the tanks, if you wish to sit and snack for a while.

There's even a vending machine nearby, with cute fishy snacks (do not have to taste like fish, but they are fish THEMED so like a chocolate bar shaped like a starfish, that sort of thing).

At the far end of this room is an exit—or, depending on your point of view, an entrance—that will take you to some other places on this floor. It seems like passing through the aquarium every time is necessary; it's a hallway for a reason!

✨THE ONSEN

Entering the onsen is simple; there's a wooden gate on this floor where, if you push your way inside, is a simple reception desk and two doors; one leads to a little space where you can pick up bathing supplies and get changed in a stall, and the other leads... outside.

Or, it looks like the outside. It smells like the outside. There's a breeze and a night sky and a bright sun—but any attempts at actually leaving the premises will fail. You're in the resort hotel of your dreams, you're not actually outside. And yet, in the end, it's impossible not to feel as if it's the real thing.

More importantly, there's a whole onsen "outside"! There are trees growing along the edges, rocks line the various pools, and the water is always the perfect "ahhhh that feels great" temperature.

Being in the water here is relaxing. If your character is not necessarily one to relax, they may find it easier to do so here—there's no aphrodisiacs in the water (unless characters put it there themselves) but the staff know what the hotel is like, so there are some pools with privacy fences; not necessarily for those seeking romance in the onsen, but if you just want to bathe by yourself, too, that's fine.

✨THE SECRET ROOM

If you visit the hot springs, you might notice a door that you've never seen before, and if you go through you, you find a forest path. Follow that path and you'll find:

A secluded area that has a hidden, natural hot spring. Obviously, the hot springs are all natural, but this one is truly buried within the hills so the energy is much more peaceful. It's quite a view, and just a great place to relax when you need to get away from it all. For those who long for the natural life, you'll find small little flowers budding around bringing color into the springs, and you might even hear the sounds of cicadas chirping.

However, this hotspring is a little strange.

While you're relaxing, you'll suddenly feel a light "donk" against your head as a rubber duck falls from the sky into the pool. As you continue to relax, more and more ducks start to appear in different colors and designs. If you want to get an idea, you can see here (I did not watch this whole video, if its problematic just let me know.

Stay long enough? And it ends up like:

✨THE WATERFALL

If you go past the onsen, you'll find a forest trail that you can clamber through and at the end, you'll find an opening with a large waterfall pouring through. Despite the roaring waters, it's extremely peaceful here. It's a great place to set up camp and spend the night or even just have a small picnic to enjoy the scenery. If you're lucky, you might be able to spot a bird or two twittering about.

Rope swings can be found for those who are feeling adventurous and feel like throwing themselves into the water. The top of the waterfall isn't too high so it's easy enough to climb and throw yourselves to the water below.

One thing that's a bit strange of this location is that if you spend enough time in the water, you can't help but feel like you need to be a little more "active". Working out muscles and pushing yourself beyond the limit . . .

It sounds pretty appealing . . .

Beyond the waterfall- Well.

For those who look to see if there's anything behind the waterfall, they WILL find a door, but it does seem to be locked.

Perhaps this is for another day...

✨CAFE

The door behind the waterfall unlocks, and . . . it's a cafe?

The clarity cafe is bright and airy, a place that is great for those who want to spend time with their friends. Despite being indoors, there's something very refreshing about this location. The air smells clean and light, and there's sun coming through the windows. You can even see from one window here the waterfall is falling (don't ask about the physics), but it's soundproof enough to where it isn't distracting.

There's a large tree with envelopes dangling from it. If you decide to test your luck, pull an envelope and open it and see what your fortune is.

You can get: great luck, good luck, mediocre luck, bad luck, terrible luck.

This can potentially affect your luck for the day (play as you like).

You can also just be normal and get a drink. There's cocoa, lemonades, coffees, boba tea, smoothies . . . but to get a drink, someone has to order FOR you. And you have to order for someone else if they want a drink.

✨WISHING FOUNTAIN

Inside the cafe, right at the entrance . . . is a wishing fountain!

Welcome to the wishing fountain!

Throw a coin in and perhaps your wish will come true! Or at least, that's what you probably expect out of most normal wishing fountains, right?

Well, technically, it's the same for this fountain. If you throw in a coin, you'll find that the fountain spits out a random tiny prize. They also say if you kiss by the fountain, you might also get a random present...

However, throw in an item of some worth, you might get the chance for a wish to come true..
